Spring Ceili Band Class (Under 12, Under 15, and Under 18)
Participants in the ceili band class will work with a small number of tunes, but will use them as vehicles to work on timing, rhythm, ornamentation, speed, and playing cleanly together with the class. In the Spring we will be practicing for competition at the Fleadh, and students will be grouped in bands based on age (under 12, under 15, under 18.) Students are allowed to participate in up to two (2) ceili bands, as long as they play a different instrument in each.
The Under 12 ceili band will be focusing on two tunes.
The Under 15 ceili band will be focusing on two reels and one other tune.
The Under 18 ceili band will be focusing on two reels and two other tunes.
It is highly recommended that students in the ceili band class also participate in the performance class.
Enrollment at BIMS is contingent upon agreement with the academy terms and conditions.
