Concert @ St. Luke’s Church on the Avenue
For the first day of classes, BIMS will be co-presenting a concert with the Baltimore Folk Club! Come join us for a presentation of sensitive Irish traditional music by Sarah Collins, David McKindley-Ward, and Marty Frye.

Concert and Session @ the Green Room
This week, BIMS will be presenting a concert between the youth session and the adult session! Youth session will be from 6-7pm, followed by a concert by Matt Mulqueen, Dan Isaacson, and Jimmy Eagan, with tunes to follow. There will be no cover, but a donation to the band is appreciated.
Irish Session @ the Green Room
An Irish Session at the Green Room in Hampden! Youth session is from 6-7PM; during this time youth are encouraged to play and lead sets. The adult-led session starts at 7PM and goes until 9. Sessions usually led by Richard Osban, Matt Mulqueen, and Frances Cunningham.
The 3rd Annual Irish Tenor Banjo Summit
An Irish Traditional Music Festival in Baltimore, Maryland, on the weekend of November 15-17, with workshops, ceilis, sessions, and lectures centered around the Irish tenor banjo - but with plenty for everyone who loves Irish music!
Diarmuid O'Meachair at Manor Mill
The Baltimore Folk Club and The Baltimore Irish Music School are excited to be bringing Diarmuid Ó Meachair to perform at Manor Mill. Diarmuid is an Accordion player and sean nós singer from Cúil Aodha, Co. Cork. He is also an accomplished Melodeon player and sean-nós singer. He was recently awarded the prestigious Young Musician of the year award from TG4 for 2022. He is one of the most exciting accordion players of his generation. Diarmuid is part of the teaching staff at the Department of Music in UCC, teaching accordion and melodeon.

May Ceili (Dance)
Come on out to our May Ceili! The Dance will be happening in the Bluebird Green Room in Hampden (3602 Hickory Ave, Baltimore, MD, 21211) , and will feature calling by Catherine Marafino Brice, with live music provided by Peter Brice (button accordion), Joanna Clare (fiddle), Matt Mulqueen (piano) and you! Irish musicians are encouraged to bring instruments and play with the band. There will also be a session to follow.
Dinner and refreshments available at the location, Doors open at 6, so feel free to come order food in advance!
BIMS Fundraiser and Concert
The Baltimore Irish Music School is hosting a fundraiser concert on Sunday, May 5, at the Bluebird Green Room! Come out for dinner and enjoy a student presentation of the pieces they will be performing in Parsippany, NJ, as well as a short concert by National Heritage Fellow Billy McComiskey and friends!
