About the Artists
Patrick Egan is based in Lucketts, VA and is a Washington Area Music Award (WAMMIE) winner vocalist. Patrick’s band Chulrua is a celebrated Irish traditional music trio known for authentic jigs, reels, and slow airs. They released three acclaimed albums: Barefoot on the Altar (1999), Down the Back Lane (2003), and The Singing Kettle (2007). Patrick is featured at music festivals and gives workshops in Irish guitar accompaniment and singing.
Séamus Wade is based in Philomont, Virginia and is a fiddler and multi instrumentalist (pipes, concertina, etc.) Drawing from a wide range of Irish traditional sources, he explores the music’s expressive breadth, from lively dance tunes to lyrical airs, bringing lilting energy and thoughtful musicality to the repertoire.
